Wrens move like tiny shadows through the forest, scampering mouse-like through the undergrowth.
Most easily spotted during seasons when foliage is sparse, their distinguishing feature is their short tail held at a jaunty, upright angle.
I feel fortunate whenever I am able to glimpse one of these elusive birds.
