Deborah creates lifelike animal portraits
that capture the essence of each animal's individual character,
expression and spirit. She specializes dogs, cats and horses, and she
views each animal portrait as an opportunity to connect with her subject
in a very personal way. Deborah takes pride in creating fine pieces of
art that are sensitively rendered and highly realistic. She has more
than 25 years’ experience as an animal portrait artist. She is
recognized as a Canadian Drawing Master by the Drawing Society of
Canada and a signature member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
To create a portrait, Deborah requires
several photographs and a description of the animal's habits and
personality to help her capture its true character. Don't be concerned
if your photographs are not the best quality, as long as they show the
animal's appearance. If you live nearby, Deborah welcomes the
opportunity to meet and photograph your animal, but she also works with
many long-distance clients as well as with those whose animals have
passed on. A portrait is a perfect way to commemorate the life of a
special animal.
